There are panoramic heads to suit all budgets. New entrants to the panohead scene have lowered the entry cost but still offer good quality results.

Many motorized panoheads are converted telescope mounts. Motorized heads are good for making gigapixel images.

Panorama Display
Traditionally, QuickTimeVR was the original way of displaying spherical panoramas but this was surplanted by Flash based viewers and to a lesser extent Java based viewers. Currently, we’re in a transition towards HTML5 based panorama display.
